Bruce and Patti Springsteen join Bono in donating artwork to Jack & Jill’s INCOGNITO public art initiative

By Claire Sheeran | Press Release | Comments are Closed | 10 March, 2020 | 1

Renowned Rockstar couple, Bruce and Patti Springsteen have joined the growing list of artists donating their original pieces of art to Jack & Jill’s INCOGNITO public art initiative for sale at €50 a piece to raise money for the charity. The singers are in good company joining U2 frontman, Bono, who is once again joining the INCOGNITO artist line-up to help raise funds for the Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation.

They are part of a collection of 1,600 artists who have created unique, original postcard-sized artworks, including others such as Vincent Devine, Paul Costelloe, Abigail O’Brien, Mick O’Dea, Maser, Laura Cronin, Mo Kelly, Alice Maher, Victor Richardson and Peter Curling.

Proudly supported by William Fry, there will be a total of 2,600 original artworks for sale in the INCOGNITO collection and each of the pieces will be sold to the public on a first-come-first-served basis for €50 – the twist is that no one will know the identity of the artist until after they buy the art. The pieces will be available for viewing on www.incognito.ie from 24th March.

This year’s art sale will take place in the Sol Gallery *new venue*, Dublin from 24th to 26th April, with previews from 22nd and 23rd April. The collection also travels to Cork again and the sale will take place in the Lavit Gallery on 22nd and 23rd May, with previews available on 21st May.

With lots more names still be announced, this year’s INCOGNITO is shaping up to be the best yet with a chance for art lovers to get their hands on original pieces of work by new and internationally acclaimed artists, illustrators and designers valued way above and beyond the sale price of €50!

Now in its fourth year, the art initiative has proven to be a huge success, with last year’s sell-out event raising over €120,000 for Jack & Jill. Every €16 raised funds one hour of specialist home nursing care for over 340 children under Jack & Jill’s wing today; children living with life limiting conditions who may never walk or talk or paint a picture themselves; precious children who do better, cared for at home with their families supported by the Jack & Jill nursing care service around the country.

The Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation is proud to be sponsored by William Fry for this award-winning public arts initiative for the third year running.  William Fry’s support of INCOGNITO is just one part of the firm’s commitment to the Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation. As well as supporting the Foundation through fundraising, volunteering and pro bono activities, William Fry has also pledged to donate significantly over a three-year period, which started in 2017.
